To schedule an appointment please call or visit the store between 10am-7pm. We will need to know how many boxes or bags of books you are looking to sell, so that we can plan how much time to devote to your books. We plan based on a standard bankers box or grocery bag. If your containers are larger than that, please let us know.
The alley next to the store is a loading zone for up to a half hour. If you are not able to find parking in front of the store, you can use the alley while you load or unload your books. Please ask if you need the loan of a handtruck.
Do we really have a cat?
Rose has lived at the Salem Book Bin since 2013. She was adopted from the Humane Society when she was wee. She lives at the store full time, and is usually both happy to see us in the morning and ready for time to herself in the evening. She spends much of her time sleeping in hidden corners of the store, so you're lucky if you spot her. If you see her, she loves having her picture taken, but please only pet after obtaining her most gracious permission.
Rare Book Room
The rare book room is open Monday-Friday 10a.m.-3p.m. and Saturday and Sunday by appointment. Our rare book room specializes in collectable fantasy, horror, and science fiction.
